Honor Guard Highlights
Our Honor Guard remains exceptionally active, providing steadfast support at funerals and a wide range of veteran and civic ceremonies. Their dedication continues to reflect great credit upon Post 3.
In August, the Honor Guard assisted Military Honors teams at seven funerals. Their civic involvement included six appearances: Presenting Korean War veterans with a commemorative coin from the Governor of Nebraska on two occasions, attending the Governor’s Welcome Home Dinner for National Guard members recently returned from deployment, and providing a Color Guard and support at three meetings during the American Legion Riders’ annual Legacy Run.
For calendar year 2026, the Honor Guard has assisted Military Honors teams at 63 funerals and participated in 28 civic functions.
The Honor Guard’s dedication to paying tribute to our fallen veterans and supporting civic functions is truly valued.
