AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY
Dear Unit Members ---
Our unit’s year is coming to an end, and
reports are being submitted. Plans are being
made for the Department Convention, which will be held June
23-25 at the Younes Conference Center South in Kearney.
In May, Unit 3 held elections for officers for the coming year. Elected were:
President --- Barbara Skillman
Vice President --- Char Moore
Secretary --- Barb Michael
Treasurer --- Lorie Gubser
Chaplain --- Jeanie Harris.
Our June 13 meeting will be held in the Community Room at the Cornhusker
Bank located at 84th and “O” Streets. Please join us for light refreshments at
6:00 pm. Installation of officers will take place at 7:00 pm. Guest are welcome,
and we look forward to sharing this time with you.
American Legion Auxiliary Girls State will be held the week of June 4-10.
We have three girls who will represent Lincoln Unit 3. And, some of us will be
working at Girl's State during the week.
Unit meetings will not be held in July or August, but we will be getting ready for
the next year. We will start holding meetings again on September 12.

Auxiliary Scholarships Announcement
AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY SCHOLARSHIPS
The American Legion Auxiliary supports various scholarship programs at the National, Departmental, and Unit levels that benefit veterans, the descendants of veterans, and The American Legion Family.
The Auxiliary has not yet announced the availability of its scholarships for 2024.
The 2024 application forms are not yet available.
If you are interested in reviewing previous application forms, check the links below for eligibility requirements, application forms, and deadlines.
Scholarship information is also available from guidance counselors at all public and private high schools.

Unit Level:
The American Legion Auxiliary Lincoln Unit #3 sponsors up to three $500 Scholarships annually. They are only available to a student whose family member is an active member of Lincoln Legion Post #3 or Legion Auxiliary Unit #3, is a Lincoln resident, and plans to attend a Nebraska school of higher education.
