Welcome to American Legion Baseball Post 3!

Kyle Sitzman, Lincoln Baseball Association’s representative to Post 3, and 4 members of the runner-up American Legion World Series Baseball Team and their coach were in attendance. They came to thank Post 3 for their support and relayed some of their thoughts about the American Legion World Series recently held in Shelby, North Carolina. They also donated their runner-up trophy to Post 3 to be displayed in the office.

The Lincoln East “Rugs” Baseball Team, sponsored by Post 3 and financially supported by Carpet Land of Lincoln, fell one run short of becoming Nebraska’s first American Legion World Series Champion in 84 years when Creighton Prep won the crown in 1939.

They finished as the NSAA Class A State Champions, Class A State Legion Baseball titleholders and champs of the American Legion Central Regional with a combined 84-16 record.
